Child left with injuries after a hit-and-run in North Yorkshire

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after a vehicle failed to stop at the scene of a collision in which a child was knocked over.

It happened in Richmond at the junction of Darlington Road and Maison Dieu on Wednesday (8th January) at around 8.15am.

It involved a white Dacia hatchback that collided with a 10-year-old boy, causing minor injuries. The car did not stop and carried on its journey.

Officers are urging for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
