Four plead guilty as Bridlington cocaine operation directed from prison
The operation was directed by a man from inside a prison cell, with three others helping to run the drugs line

Four members of an organised crime group have pleaded guilty after police discovered a Bridlington cocaine drugs line was being run from inside prison.
Nathan Langton, 32, formerly of Bridlington, Liam Langton, 28, of Scarborough, and Lewis Wenn, 29, of Cottingham, all admitted conspiring to supply class A cocaine.
Jordan Withey, 27, of Bridlington, also pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply class A cocaine, possession with intent to supply class A cocaine, and possession of criminal property.
Police launched an investigation in January after they discovered a phone number was being used to advertise and sell cocaine across Bridlington.
Officers later found the drugs operation involved a network of phones used to send messages offering cocaine for sale.
They identified the group’s members and discovered Nathan Langton had been directing activity while in prison.
During searches in Bridlington and Scarborough in March, officers arrested Liam Langton and Jordan Withey.
Police also found cocaine and around £7,000 in cash in Withey’s address. Officers say his address provided a base for the group in which cocaine was stored and supplied.
Further investigation found the group had been working together to sell drugs.
Police later searched Nathan Langton’s prison cell and found a hidden mobile phone.
After police seized the phone, the drugs line stopped operating.
All four men are due to be sentenced at Hull Crown Court on Tuesday 28 July.
“This investigation is a perfect example of organised crime not being glamorous or untouchable.
“It’s a group of individuals motivated by money, willing to exploit addiction and bring harm into our communities. Even after three of his associates had been arrested, Nathan still tried to keep the drugs line alive, convinced he could stay one step ahead, which inevitably failed."
