The family of a man who died following a crash on the outskirts of Bala have paid tribute to him.

Chris Johnson was a 58-year-old from the Rhyl area.

His family described him as an amazing, funny, caring family man who will be deeply missed by all.

The family said: "Chris loved nothing more than to be out with his friends on his motorbike travelling the beautiful roads of North Wales, or spending time in the gym.

"He was always committed to supporting anyone including his family, friends and colleagues in their times of need.

"Chris was a husband, father, son, grandad, brother, uncle and cousin and the centre of our family. He could make you smile even at the most difficult times and saw the positives in so many things.

"Words cannot express the impact he had on so many. The family have requested privacy at this time to enable them to grieve the loss of Chris."

North Wales Police continue to investigate the crash, which happened at around 7:35pm on 15th October on the A494 at Llanuwchllyn.
