Two charged after vehicle stop in Norwich

Police have charged two people in connection with drugs supply offences, after a vehicle stop in Norwich last week.

Officers were on patrols on Thursday 19 February when they stopped a vehicle on Drayton Road at around 4:50pm.

Following a search, officers recovered suspected class A drugs, a mobile phone, cash and other drug related paraphernalia.

A man in his 60s, and a woman in her 40s, were arrested at the scene and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre.

Jonathan Taylor, 63, of Primrose Square, Dereham was charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin, concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession of criminal property and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.

Linda McMahon, 45, of William Kett Close, Norwich was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug (heroin) and possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug (cocaine).

They were remanded into custody and both appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (21 February) where they were both released on bail ahead of their next court appearance on 20 March 2026.
