Three in court after Bowthorpe affray

Three people have appeared in court, charged in connection with an incident in Bowthorpe last week.

Police were called to Ambrose Close at around 3.40pm on 20 May following reports of a fight between a group of young men and teenagers carrying weapons. Four people were arrested, on suspicion of affray and possessing an offensive weapon. Three of them were subsequently charged.

Logan Hindley, 20, of St. Mildreds Road, Norwich, was charged with GBH with intent, possession of a bladed article in a public place and violent disorder. He appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ court on 23 May and was remanded until his next court appearance on 19 June.

A 16 year-old boy was charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place, violent disorder and possession of a class B drug. He appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ court on 23 May and was remanded until a court appearance on 28 May.

A 16 year-old boy was charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and violent disorder. He appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ court on 22 May and was bailed until his next court appearance on 4 June.

The fourth person, a man in his 20s, who was arrested, was released on police bail until 20 August 2026.
