Police appeal after robberies linked to dating app
A number of people were targeted
Police in Norwich are investigating three linked robberies where male victims were attacked after meetings arranged on a dating app.
In two cases, suspects stole phones and transferred large sums of money from the victims.
A man has been arrested and bailed as officers appeal for witnesses.
DCI John Beales said: "We understand these incidents may cause concern. We want to reassure the public that these reports are being taken extremely seriously and that we are actively investigating the offences and motives of those exploiting the app.
“We would encourage anyone who has experienced a similar incident, or has concerns about related suspicious activity linked to social media, to contact us.”
