Police confirm pigs euthanised after Croxton lorry crash

An unspecified number of animals have died after a collision caused the lorry carrying them to overturn

Police have revealed that several pigs were euthanised following a lorry collision in Croxton.

The incident occurred on the night of 28th April 2026, when a lorry carrying livestock collided with a parked vehicle and overturned.

Breckland Police were called to the scene at 11.44pm.

Officers, along with a vet, attended the site, where they made the decision to euthanise a number of pigs due to the severity of their injuries.

The driver of the lorry was not injured.

The road was closed for a few hours.
