Four jailed after man lured and assaulted in Norwich attack
The four defendants were sentenced to a total of over 23 years in prison
Four people have been jailed for a total of 23 years in prison after a man was assaulted and robbed in Norwich.
The three men and one woman appeared before Norwich Crown Court on Thursday (October 22nd) after pleading guilty to their respective roles in the attack.
The incident, which took place on February 5th, saw a man in his 20s lured to the Southalls Way area at around 10am.
It was believed that the attack had been linked to drug dealing, and involved the victim being approached by the group before he was hit over the head. His car and phone were later stolen.
After the attack, the man was able to walk home and alert his family, who later called the emergency services. He later fell unconscious and was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge in a life-threatening condition.
Police enquiries soon discovered one of the suspects - Storm Leake, 24 - caught on CCTV smiling and laughing.
Leake was arrested, together with Georgia Moore, 22; Jacob Murphy, 34; and Sean Carter, 22 at separate addresses across Norwich.
All four were charged for various roles in the incident, and were officially sentenced on Thursday.
Storm Leake, of Rouen Road, Norwich, was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment after previously pleading guilty to GBH with intent and robbery.
Jacob Murphy of no fixed abode, was sentenced to five years' imprisonment after previously pleading guilty to robbery
Georgia Moore of no fixed abode was sentenced to four years' imprisonment after previously pleading guilty to robbery.
Sean Carter of Hill Crescent, Harrow, Middlesex was sentenced to four years' imprisonment after previously pleading guilty to robbery.
After the ruling, Detective Constable Cameron Brown from Norfolk Police said: "This was a deliberate and violent attack carried out in a residential area of Norwich, with no regard for the safety of others.
"The victim sustained serious injuries and continues to live with the consequences of what happened to him.
"Thanks to a thorough and determined investigation, we were able to identify those responsible and bring them before the courts.
"Violence has no place in our communities, and I hope today's sentence reassures people that anyone involved in this kind of behaviour will be held accountable."
