Man charged after stabbing in Cromer sends victim to hospital

The 32 year old faces charges of possession of a knife in a public place and grievous bodily harm with intent.

A 32-year-old man has been charged following a stabbing in Cromer over the weekend.

The incident took place on Saturday, 11th April 2026, when officers were called to Roughton Road at 9:15pm after reports that a man in his 30s had been stabbed.

The victim was found with a wound to the abdomen and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Ryan Palmer, 32, of Brownshill, Cromer, was arrested after police investigations on Brownshill, Cromer, and subsequently charged.

He faces charges of possession of a knife in a public place and grievous bodily harm with intent.

Palmer was remanded for a court appearance at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court today, 13th April 2026.

The court has further remanded him until his next appearance scheduled for 11th May 2026 at Norwich Crown Court.
