Lowestoft woman lands world record for the largest My Little Pony collection
Her love of the toys started at just three years old
A woman from Lowestoft has broken a Guinness World Record for the largest collection of My Little Pony memorabilia.
Miranda Worby, 43, has been collecting the toys for four decades, after falling in love with them as a young child.
How it all began
Miranda's love of My Little Pony started when she was just three years old.
After asking her parents for a real horse and being told no, she spotted a My Little Pony toy in a shop and instantly fell in love.
Her first pony was a pink figure called Snowflake, which she still owns today.
From childhood passion to record breaker
What began as a childhood love grew into a serious collection in the late 1990s, when Miranda realised just how many My Little Pony items existed around the world.
That included country-exclusive releases which were difficult to track down before the internet made international collecting easier.
By 2018, her collection had grown so large that she had to move house in order to properly display it.
'Never be embarrassed'
Miranda said getting into the Guinness World Records book means "everything" to her.
Her advice for other collectors is "never be embarrassed for collecting what you love! There are plenty of other people who love it too, so be proud and never ashamed of what you adore".
