A local MP says he's getting hundreds of emails a day from people who are struggling to get a GP appointment.

It's a Rackheath's got a new surgery opening up in the spring, that's called Magna Medical Centre.

While people in Taverham are campaigning to get a new one built there.

"I see this approach as a model for how other areas should be treated!

Jerome Mayhew is the MP for Broadland and Fakenham:

"Rackheath is a good example, where we are able to get investment in a brand new surgery in before the start of new house-building there and not after it.

"I see this approach as a model for how other areas should be treated, if homes are going to be built there.

"It's needed as there are so many new houses, there. Rackheath is getting seven and a half thousand houses, and there's many other developments in there as well.

"So, as the population grows it's really important. If you want local people to accept all of these huge numbers of new houses, you have got to get the right infrastructure in first".
