Adam Hall, a 43-year-old from Washington, Tyne and Wear, has been convicted of raping multiple men and intentionally infecting them with HIV.

Hall was found guilty at Newcastle Crown Court of five counts of rape and seven counts of causing grievous bodily harm by transmitting HIV.

He was also convicted of controlling and coercive behavior, supplying the drug GHB, and withholding his phone password during the investigation.

The offenses occurred between 2016 and 2023 and impacted seven men who later tested positive for HIV after their encounters with Hall.

Despite being diagnosed with HIV in 2010, Hall neglected to adhere to his prescribed treatment regimen, leaving him with transmissible levels of the virus.

Between 2016 and May 2023, Hall engaged in unprotected sexual activities with his victims, sometimes using force, without revealing his HIV status.

Detective Chief Inspector Emma Smith of Northumbria Police spoke after the sentencing. y.

Hall is scheduled for sentencing on 23rd April.
