North East film company releases new short film about sustainability for Recycle Week
To coincide with Recycle Week UK, North East film company Siren Films are proud to announce the release of a brand-new short film exploring sustainability in the early years. The film will be available to watch free of charge for one week via the Siren Films website.
Children are naturally curious and eager to explore the world around them which means that Early Years practitioners have the opportunity to harness their curiosity and introduce simple concepts like recycling, saving water, growing plants, and respecting nature. These early lessons help develop eco-conscious habits that children will carry into adulthood.
Filmed on location at The Grove Nursery , the short captures the inspiring journey of staff and children working together to build a more sustainable future. With the support of renowned early years expert Laura Henry-Allain, the film offers a heartfelt and practical look at how sustainability can be meaningfully embedded in early years education.
" We had a wonderful time filming at The Grove,” said Katrina McEvoy, MD, Siren Films team. “The passion, insight and dedication of the staff was a joy to witness. The children showed us that even at a young age, they understand they can have a positive impact on the world.”
The short film features real-life examples of sustainable practices in action—including recycling, planting & growing and cultural sustainability. It’s highlights how children are never too young to care for the planet.
Don’t miss this uplifting and insightful film—available for FREE 22-28th Sept in celebration of Recycle Week.
