Beau-jack Mensforth, 20, from Sunderland, pleaded guilty to 17 offences including blackmailing people for images of self-harm, sexual communication with children, making and distributing indecent images of children, and possessing extreme pornographic images of animals.
He was told he was likely to face a prison term when he is sentenced on November 27.
Mensforth admitted a string of extreme online abuse charges when he appeared at Newcastle Crown Court on Thursday.
The court heard he was in an organised crime group between 2023 and 2024, which involved blackmail and distributing indecent images of children.
Mensforth admitted three offences of blackmail, in which he demanded images of self-harm “with menaces” in order to make a gain for himself.
He also pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual communication with a child, with one victim said to be 13 and the other 15.
Mensforth admitted six charges of making indecent photos of a child, three of distributing indecent photos of a child, one of possessing extreme pornographic images and one of possessing prohibited images of a child.
The court heard Mensforth was “someone with significant issues”.
He was bailed until his sentencing hearing, although the judge told him he was likely to face an immediate custodial sentence on that date.
