Schak's Newcastle Christmas event announced as Makina single surpasses streaming milestone
Newcastle's own DJ and music producer, Schak, is set to make a festive homecoming this year with a grand event at NX Newcastle on 18th December 2026.
Coinciding with Black Eye Friday—known as one of the liveliest nights of the festive season—Schak's return promises an unforgettable seven-hour party starting at 9 pm and wrapping up at 4 am.
This festive celebration will feature an impressive line-up, including MDDLTN, known for blending hard dance with techno and trance, Belfast duo Symmetrik, and a special appearance from Junkie Kid, an internationally acclaimed DJ and producer from Mexico.
Local favourite Nanna Makina will also grace the event with her signature sounds, further adding to the vibrant celebration.
Schak's announcement comes during an exciting time for the artist, following the success of his latest single, Impacto (Makina), a collaboration with Dutch duo W&W and DJ Skryker.
The track, released through W&W's Rave Culture, has amassed over 250,000 streams, showcasing the growing influence of Makina music worldwide.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Schak said, "I'm really excited for this show because it feels like we're entering a completely new chapter. Seeing Makina getting the attention, press and recognition it's receiving right now has got me buzzing."
Schak, who gained national attention with his hit Moving All Around (Jumpin') and has performed at major venues and festivals globally, continues his mission to spotlight the energetic sounds of Makina.
Tickets for Schak's Christmas Homecoming at NX Newcastle will be available for presale starting at 12 pm on 25th September, with general sales beginning at 2 pm on the same day via Skiddle.
The event is part of NX Loves, a curated club series by NX Newcastle, aiming to bring both established and emerging talent to the city's vibrant nightlife.
