Football fans in Newcastle are preparing for an exciting night as NX Newcastle hosts a World Cup Quarter Final Fanzone event this Saturday, 11th July.

Following England's thrilling victory over Mexico in the last 16 and Norway's unexpected win against Brazil, the stage is set for England's showdown with Norway for a place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals.

NX Newcastle will transform into a hub of football excitement, providing attendees with entertainment, giant screens, live DJs, and a vibrant atmosphere.

Luke Rushfirth, manager at NX Newcastle, shared his anticipation for the event.

"England are into the last eight and the excitement is really building. Every knockout game feels bigger than the last," he said. "Alongside the DJs, entertainment and incredible atmosphere, we're determined to make this a World Cup night to remember."

The venue will offer indoor football screenings supported by a sound system that aims to mimic the ambiance of a major tournament night, complete with World Cup DJs, giant England flag displays, and pre-match entertainment.

Special guests will be announced soon, adding to the anticipation around the fanzone, expected to draw large crowds eager to cheer England into the semi-finals.

Doors open at 7.30pm, with last entry at 9pm before the 10pm kick-off.
