Football fans are in for a treat this weekend as some of Newcastle United's former stars reunite for a special charity match.

The event, designed to raise funds for Age UK North Tyneside, will see the legendary Newcastle Entertainers swap their usual fast-paced style for a more sedate walking football game at Gateshead Leisure Centre.

Former Newcastle ace Peter Beardsley will lead a squad including Lee Clark, Steve Howey, Paul Robinson, Ruel Fox, Darren Peacock, and Kevin Scott.

They will be facing a local media team captained by former United fullback John Anderson.

Organised by Age UK Ambassadors Steve Wraith and Joe Allon, the match aims to support dementia patients and enhance their quality of life.

Doors open at midday this Saturday at Gateshead Leisure Centre, with the match commencing at 1pm.

Tickets are still available for purchase via nufcmatters.co.uk or through Wowcher.
