Thrill seekers rejoice as The Hoppings returns to Newcastle with exciting new rides
The giant funfair is back from the 19th June.
The Hoppings, Europe’s largest travelling funfair, makes its return to Newcastle’s Town Moor on 19th June, offering 10 days of exhilarating experiences for visitors of all ages.
Among the highlights this year is Elevate 85, an impressive new star flyer that stands 85 metres tall and makes its debut at the fair.
Those seeking adrenaline-pumping rides can look forward to classics such as Tagada, Psycho, Atmosfear, Meteorite, and Matterhorn.
For families and younger visitors, returning favourites include the dodgems, carousel, helter skelter, and an array of waltzers like Energy Storm Waltzer and Waltzer XXL.
Also taking centre stage, the Giant Wheel will offer stunning views across the fairground and the city. Other attractions include Exciter, Booster Max, Jumping Frogs, and King Frog.
Children will be spoiled for choice with roller coasters like Magic Mouse, mini train rides, flying Dumbos, and other playful options like teacups and toy sets.
Spooky attractions such as the Ghost Train and Horror Walk through are set to scare and delight alongside funhouses and inflatables like Minions and monster trucks.
With side shows featuring rifle ranges and coconut shies, there are opportunities for visitors to test their skills and win prizes.
Ryan Crow of Crow Events, organiser of The Hoppings, expressed optimism for another successful year.
“Every year we try to up our game and hopefully we’ve done that this year,” Crow said.
“We’ve got rides for everyone, fantastic food and some great entertainment. We can’t wait to welcome all our visitors yet again.”
A special morning session will be held for charities and good causes to enjoy the rides for free. Groups wanting to attend should reach out via email to [email protected] .
