A school sports team in Northumberland is taking on a mammoth challenge tomorrow - hoping to raise money to help keep their team on the water.

A school sports team in Northumberland is taking on a mammoth charity challenge tomorrow - hoping to raise money to help keep their team on the water.
The rowing club, from Queen Elizabeth High School in Hexham, will be rowing 500 kilometres in just 3 hours.
That's roughly the distance from Hexham to central London!
The fundraiser is all to raise vital money towards a £16,000 new boat for the club, so they can continue to bring more young people into the sport.
The club tell us that they welcome everyone, from complete beginners taking their first strokes to athletes competing at national and international level.
With demand for the club continuing to grow, a new boat is urgently needed to help more young people get on the water and give existing members the opportunity to develop their skills.
The club has been operating since the 1980's, and is self-funded.
Head Coach Pam Walton said:
“Rowing is about so much more than competition. It gives young people the opportunity to build confidence, develop resilience and discover what they are capable of.
"This challenge is about bringing our community together and helping secure the future of rowing at QEHS Rowing Club."
The club is asking the local community to come and cheer the students on & enjoy a cake from the cake stall from 9.30am at Tyne Green tomorrow, and you can find out more about their challenge from their fundraising page.
