Man charged with causing death of woman by dangerous driving, after Berwick collision
A man's been charged, in connection with a collision on the A1 in Northumberland in January - where a woman died
A man has been charged in connection with a fatal collision on the A1 at Highfields Roundabout in Berwick-upon-Tweed on January 28.
Emergency services attended the collision near to the junction with A1167 North Road where a passenger from the car – 41-year-old Jade Duncan – died at the scene.
Sean Hogan, 46, of no fixed address, has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured, and causing death whilst disqualified.
He is scheduled to appear before Newcastle Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday).
Officers would remind members of the public to avoid speculation – both online and in the community – and respect the ongoing legal proceedings.
