Three men have been jailed after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed and robbed while using a cash machine in Trafford.

The teenager was attacked in the early hours of Sunday 27th November 2022 and required emergency surgery for serious injuries.

Callum Henson, Harry Jackson and Bailey Mann were sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on Monday 2nd March 2026.

What happened

Shortly after 3am on Sunday 27th November 2022, the boy was at a cash machine on Upper Chorlton Road in Trafford when he saw a black BMW drive past before making a U-turn and stopping on the opposite side of the road.

As he rode away on his scooter, the car sped past and cut him off.

Three men got out of the vehicle and robbed him at knifepoint.

During the attack, he was stabbed twice and £120 was taken before the group drove away.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was taken to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery before being stabilised.

The sentences

Callum Henson, of Claridge Road in Manchester, was sentenced to five years and six months for robbery and section 20 assault.

Harry Jackson, of Ormskirk Avenue in Withington, was sentenced to four years and 10 months for section 18 assault.

Bailey Mann, of Chadstone in Northampton, was sentenced to three years in a young offenders institute for robbery.

All three were sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on Monday 2nd March 2026.

DC Knight said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a young boy who was left with serious injuries which required extensive hospital treatment.

“I am grateful that they have now faced justice for their actions – not only for ourselves from an investigation side, but also for the victim and his family who were left shaken following this incident.

"Across Trafford, officers are working tirelessly to tackle knife crime and violence associated with this type of criminality. Knife-enabled serious violence offences are down 29% across Trafford, whilst stop searches have increased by 27%.

"These sentencings show that we will not tolerate this type of violent crime – knife crime has no place on our streets, and we will do all that we can to make sure offenders are punished, and our communities are safe.”
