Third suspect arrested in connection with Manchester criminal damage incident
Ongoing investigation follows disturbance on Booth Street
A third arrest has been made in relation to a criminal damage incident that occurred on Booth Street in Manchester city centre earlier this year.
Police arrested a 37-year-old man in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage. He remains in custody for questioning.
Initial incident and ongoing investigation
The arrest follows the disturbance on Booth Street on 10th March 2026, when officers were called to the scene around 6:55am. Two women in their 20s were initially arrested on suspicion of criminal damage but were later bailed pending further enquiries.
Continued investigative work identified additional suspects, resulting in the latest arrest.
Commitment to community safety
Detective Sergeant David Bell underlined the importance of lawful behavior: “Everyone has the right to protest peacefully, but criminal damage and disorder will not be tolerated...We will take action against those who choose to break the law.”
DS Bell noted the impact of such incidents on local residents and businesses and assured ongoing efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible.
Officers maintain a visible presence in the area and encourage anyone with concerns to speak to them for support.
