Motorcyclist dies in Failsworth crash

A motorcyclist has died in a crash in Failsworth.

Police were called to reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike on Partington Road at around 15:40BST.

The driver of the car remained at the scene.

Greater Manchester Police are urging any witnesses to come forward, and want to see any dashcam or CCTV footage.

In a statement, the force said: "Officers responded to reports of a road traffic collision on Partington Road in Failsworth at around 3:40pm yesterday (Tuesday 9 September 2025).

"A car collided with a motorbike and sadly, the 46-year-old male rider, died at the scene. The driver of the car remained at the scene.

Officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

"They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision."
