Police investigating after a man was discovered on Plymouth Grove with head injuries

A man is being treated in hospital for head injuries after being found injured and unresponsive on a road in Manchester.

The 61-year-old was discovered on Plymouth Grove, Longsight, at around 9pm on Friday.

The circumstances of how the man came to be injured remain unclear.

The case is being investigated by Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

PC Megan Stockton said: “We have an open mind as we investigate how this man became to be injured; however, there is the possibility he was struck by a vehicle.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, particularly anybody who may have dashcam footage taken in the area on Friday night.
