Man dies after two-car crash on Kingsway in Manchester

The driver of a Volvo was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries

A man has died after a two-car crash on Kingsway in Manchester in the early hours of Monday morning.

Emergency services were called at around 4.37am on Monday 9th March after two vehicles crashed at the junction of Green End Road and Kingsway.

A Volvo S40 and a Volkswagen Golf were involved in the crash.

The driver of the Volvo suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

He later died from his injuries.

Investigation underway

An investigation is underway to establish exactly what happened.

Officers are now asking anyone who may have seen the crash to come forward.

They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to it.
