Man dies after motorbike crash on East Lancs in Worsley

Officers are asking for witnesses and footage after the crash

A man in his 40s has died after a crash involving a motorbike and a car in Worsley.

Emergency services were called to East Lancashire Road at the junction with Old Clough Lane at around 2pm on 1st May 2026.

The rider of the motorbike died following the crash.

His family and friends are being supported.

Investigation underway

An investigation has been launched to understand what happened.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now asking for anyone who saw the crash to come forward.

They are also keen to speak to people who may have CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area at the time or in the moments leading up to it.
