Man charged with murder over 2020 death of John Soyoye in Manchester

Man extradited from the Netherlands ahead of court appearance

A man has been charged in connection with the investigation into the death of John Soyoye in Manchester.

John Soyoye tragically died in November 2020.

Emerson Teta, born on 29th October 2000, has been charged with murder, manslaughter, and violent disorder.

Teta was detained in the Netherlands in January and was extradited back to the UK yesterday.

He is scheduled to appear at Manchester Crown Court tomorrow, Friday 10th April, after appearing at Magistrates court today.

Earlier this year, three other men have been detained, extradited, and charged in connection with the murder.
