Man arrested over arson attack on Bolton Imam's home
A man in his 20s is being questioned by police
A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at a home in Bolton earlier this week.
Police said the suspect was arrested on Friday 12th June and remains in custody for questioning.
The arrest follows a suspected arson attack at an address on Eastgrove Avenue on Wednesday 10th June.
Emergency services attended the scene and all occupants were safely evacuated with no injuries reported.
Arrest made as investigation continues
Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to the address at around 9.20pm on Wednesday evening following reports of a suspected arson.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue their enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Sharples said: “Our investigation is progressing, and we now have a suspect in custody who is being questioned by our officers.
“We will not accept incidents like this in our communities; we take this very seriously. Those found responsible will be brought to justice.

Police are continuing to appeal for information as enquiries continue.
Anyone with information, CCTV footage or dashcam footage is asked to contact police quoting log 3561 of 10/06/2026.
Officers have not released any further details about the arrested man at this stage.
