Man arrested after driver hits two people following row in Salford
One of the men remains in hospital with life-changing injuries after being struck by the car
A man has been arrested after a driver struck two people with his car following a row on Broughton Lane in Salford.
Greater Manchester Police said it was called to the scene at around 5.40pm on Wednesday 9th September, after a crash between two vehicles.
Officers said two men had got out of one of the cars to challenge the driver of the other vehicle.
The driver then made off, striking one of the men as he did so.
Injuries
The man who was struck, who is in his 50s, was taken to hospital and remains there with life-changing injuries.
A second man, aged 18, was also injured after being dragged alongside the vehicle.
Police said his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing, and he remains in hospital.
Arrest
A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area, to come forward.
