Fire crews have been tackling a second major blaze at Trafford Park in just over a week.
Huge plumes of smoke and flames erupted from a waste processing site on Tenax Road late last night.
People living nearby are being asked to keep doors and windows closed - with some local roads also shut.
In their statement, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue said: "Crews are currently tackling a large fire at a waste processing site on Tenax Road in Trafford Park.
"Due to the large smoke plume, residents are advised to keep doors and windows shut.
"The road is closed and is expected to remain so until later this morning."
