A biker's fighting for his life in hospital after a head on crash in South Manchester.

It happened on Wythenshawe Road in Northern Moor at about 19:45 on Thursday (18th October 2016).

The 29-year-old was riding a KTM which crashed with a grey Vauxhall Astra.

He's now in hospital with life threatening head injuries.

Police Sergeant Paul Higgins from the GMP Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) said: ā€œThis collision happened at a relatively early time in the evening so we believe there may have been people around who witnessed this.ā€ ā€œI would like to urge anybody with information to please contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.ā€ Anybody who witnessed the collision should contact the GMP SCIU on 0161 856 4741.
