A boy has been charged after an investigation into the death of another 14-year-old boy following a collision in Wythenshawe.

Jacob Calland died following a collision between an e-scooter and a car at around 4pm on 19 March 2025.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons and is also aged 14, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving unlicensed, and causing death by driving uninsured.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Manchester Youth Court on 24th February 2026.
