A fire at a row of houses in north London has left three people in hospital.

Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to the blaze affecting a range of terraced houses on Vincents Path in Northolt.

The whole of the second-floor and part of the roof of a terraced house was alight, alongside part of a neighbouring house.

A London Fire Brigade Spokesperson said: 'One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as an observation tower, alongside drones and thermal imaging cameras, to give the incident commander enhanced situational awareness and support the development of tactics to bring the fire under control."

"The Brigade's Control Officers took the first of eight calls to the fire at 0418 and sent crews from Northolt, Wembley, Harrow, Southall and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 0623. "

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
