The man who was fatally stabbed in a Camden property has been identified as 82 year old Paul Ratledge, as police continue their investigation into his murder.

Detectives urge individuals who were near West End Lane, NW6 on 4th and 5th March to come forward with any relevant information.

The Met Police ask people who saw Mr. Ratledge, an elderly white man with long grey hair, to contact them. Doorbell or dash-cam footage captured around West End Lane, Cleve Road, or Woodchurch Road during this period may be especially helpful.

On Thursday, 5th March, officers responded to a report and found Mr. Ratledge at a West End Lane property. Despite paramedics' efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination determined the cause of death was due to stab wounds to the neck and heart. Police believe the incident to be isolated but continue to look for public assistance in their investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke, leading the inquiry, expressed condolences to Paul's family and thanked those involved in the swift response, highlighting the need for community support.

He commented, "We are now looking to hear from anyone with further information. Even small details, such as a brief sighting or noises heard, may assist us in our investigation."

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Met via 101, quoting 2793/5MAR, or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
