Man found guilty of fatal stabbing in Camden
The 19-year-old will be sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court
A 19-year-old man has been found guilty of stabbing an older man to death in Camden.
Rasheed Abdul Rahman, of Dunmow Close in Chadwell Heath, attacked 55-year-old Mark Carroll in St Martin's Gardens in 2024.
Rahman has also been convicted at Wood Green Crown Court of having a bladed article, threatening someone with an offensive weapon, and robbery.
The court heard the attack on Mr Carroll was 'sudden and unprovoked,' and the two men were not known to each other.
Rahman fled the scene shortly after attacking his victim, but was found and arrested nearby.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke, who led the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Mark’s family and friends.
"Though no outcome will ever be enough, we hope today’s conviction offers his loved ones some closure."
Mark Carroll’s daughters, Ayisha and Danielle, said: "We are relieved that justice has been delivered for our family.
"While nothing can ever bring our dad back, we are grateful to finally have some sense of closure after losing him in such a horrific way.”
Rahman will be sentenced at a later date at Wood Green Crown Court.
