Disruption is expected on the London tube network from 12pm today as tube workers from the RMT Union begin strike action over work hours.

Whilst services are expected to be effected, the level of disruption is not expected to reach the levels as previous strike action in September.

The tube strike is expected to affect the following services from 12pm Tuesday until 12pm Wednesday and 12pm Thursday to 12pm Friday.

  • A reduced service will run across most lines but significant disruption is expected
  • Any services that do run will be less frequent, very busy, and you may not be able to board the first train
  • No service expected on the Piccadilly and Circle lines
  • No service expected on the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Aldgate
  • No service expected on the Central line between White City and Liverpool Street

Any services that continue to run are expected to finish early, and TFL are urging passengers to finish their journeys by 10pm.

The Elizabeth line, DLR, London Overground, and tram services are set to run on a normal service but are expected to be busier than usual.

A second round of strike action is expected to take place next month.
