Two men charged with murder after death of 24-year-old in Haringey

Detectives investigating the murder of Jonah Ho-Shue in Haringey have charged two men in connection with his death.

Jonah, who was 24 years old, tragically died from a single stab wound on Albert Road, Hornsey, on the evening of 4th January 2024.

James Thompson, 24, from Barnet, and Dante Ashley, 25, from Haringey, were charged with murder on Tuesday, 3rd February. Ashley also faces an additional charge of perverting the course of justice.

The pair are set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 4th February.

Arrests and investigation

Both Thompson and Ashley were arrested in January 2024 and released on conditional bail while detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command continued to investigate the fatal stabbing.

The investigation has since led to charges being brought against the men, with officers confirming the case is ongoing.
