Four arrests after man stabbed to death in Walthamstow

A murder investigation has begun after a man in his 60s was found stabbed to death in north London.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to a property in Westbury Road, Walthamstow, to reports of a stabbing at around 9pm on Friday 20 February

Officers and paramedics found a man with stab wounds to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are informing his next-of-kin.

Four men, aged in the 20s and 50s, were arrested that evening on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, leading the investigation, said: “We are working around the clock to understand exactly what led to this man’s murder.

“While four men have now been arrested, this remains an early-stage investigation and we still need information from the public.

“If you saw or heard anything, or have any details that could assist us, please come forward.”
