Five stabbed in fight in Acton

Met Police officers were on patrol when they were alerted to an altercation

Five men have been found with stab wounds after reports of a fight in west London.

Metropolitan Police on patrol on Horn Lane were alerted to reports of an altercation where they were assaulted and stabbed at around 2.47pm on Friday 22 May.

The force says four of the men, aged 20, 22, 42 and 47, were taken to hospital with stab wounds. Their condition has been deemed not to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Another man – aged 26 – was taken to hospital where his injuries have also been deemed not to be life-threatening or life-changing. He has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and Possession with intent to supply Class A & B drugs but remains in hospital at this time.

Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall, who leads policing in Acton, said: "We recognise this will be concerning for the local community and want to reassure them that our detectives are working quickly to establish exactly what has taken place.

"Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days. If you have any concerns, please come and speak to our officers."
