Fifth person charged in connection to arson attack on Jewish ambulances in north London
The 18 year old is accused of assisting an offender.
A teenager has become the fifth person to be charged in connection with an arson attack on Jewish ambulances in north London.
18 year old Subhan Ahmed, from Walthamstow has been charged with assisting an offender, contrary to section 4 of the Criminal Law Act, 1967.
Preceding Charges
Earlier, Hamza Iqbal, 20, Rehan Khan, 19, another 17-year-old boy, and Judex Atshatshi, 18, were charged with committing arson destroying or damaging property being reckless as to whether life would be endangered.
These individuals appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday, 24th April and remain in custody.
Their trial is scheduled for January 2027, with a hearing set for 28th August.
What happened?
The charges relate to an arson attack at around 1:35am on Monday, 23rd March.
Four ambulances belonging to Hatzola, a Jewish volunteer-led ambulance service in Golders Green, north London, were destroyed.
Ahmed has been released on bail under strict conditions and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' court on Tuesday, 16th June.
