Crystal palace have created history following victory in their Europa Conference League match
The Eagles beat Spanish side Rayo Vallecano 1-0 in Leipzig claiming their first ever piece of european silverware.
A goal from Jean Phillipe Mateta gave the south London side victory in what was not only the side's first ever European final, but their first ever European campaign
It was also the first European final for their opponents. Rayo Vallecano finished 8th in the Spanish top flight this season.
The match also was manager Oliver Glasner's final match in charge of the Eagles, after he announced he was leaving the club at the end of the season
Glasner ends a remarkable reign at the club picking up three trophies in two and a half years
Victory for Crystal Palace tonight also confirmed qualification back into the Europa League, a competition the Eagles were kicked out of last year after they were deemed to have broken multi club ownership laws
Crystal Palace finished their Premier League season in 15th, however it's a safe bet many fans won't be too upset with that knowing they have European football to look forward to again next season.
