A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a teenager was stabbed to death in south-west London.

Jamal Coombes, 17, died after a confrontation in Glycena Road, Battersea, at 4.20am on Saturday.

Police had appealed for witnesses who saw a group of men running away to come forward.

The 14-year-old boy, who has not been named because of his age, will appear at Highbury Corner Youth Court on Monday accused of murder and possession of a knife.

A boy and a girl, both aged 15, who were arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday have been released on bail, while another boy, also aged 15, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday and remains in custody.
