Detectives have released a picture of a man they want to speak to after two women were assaulted on the Central Line

They both happened a week ago, ten minutes apart and detectives have described the attacks as unprovoked.

The first incident happened at around 3pm on Tuesday 11 November at Marble Arch Underground station.

A woman was coming down the escalator near platform one when she passed a man who slapped her in the face before shouting at her. He then got on a train and left.

Around 10 minutes later a woman was with her family, including her children, on a train at Lancaster Gate. A man approached and shouted at her before slapping her hard across the face.

Both victims are being supported, and officers have spoken to witnesses. Violent offences, especially those targeting women and girls, will absolutely not be tolerated and we will do everything we can to identify offenders and bring them to justice.

Officers believe the man in the image could have information that may assist their enquiries.
