Woman in her 80s rushed to hospital after being hit by bus in Liverpool

Emergency services are responding after a bus hit a woman in Liverpool city centre this afternoon.
The emergency call was received at around 4.10pm on Friday 19th December.
It followed a crash involving a bus and a female pedestrian at the junction of Dale Street and North John Street.
The woman, who is aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital for treatment.
There is no further update on her condition at this stage.
A road closure is currently in place at the junction.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area while emergency services deal with the situation.
