Two teenagers have been injured in separate stabbings in Liverpool, just hours apart from each other on Monday night (30 December).
Police closed off streets around Williamson Street in the city centre at around 18:30GMT after a 17-year-old boy was attacked by a gang.
He has been taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
At around 22:30, police received reports of an 18-year-old man being stabbed in the shoulder outside a McDonald's in Vauxhall.
He did not require hospital treatment for his injuries, but offices are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
