Three arrested over robbery at Liverpool toy store

Three men have been arrested after a burglary at a Smyths Toys store in Fazakerley, Liverpool.

Police were contacted just before 6.55am on Monday 29th December, following reports of a break-in at the shop located on Portal Way.

A 23-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis).

A 64-year-old man from Crosby was arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal and handling stolen goods.

Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man from Bootle has been held on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling and handling stolen goods.

Cash and an electronic item have also been recovered in relation to the burglary.

The three men remain in police custody as enquiries into the burglary continue.
