Teenager admits sexually assaulting female jogger in Birkenhead

A teenager has admitted sexually assaulting a female jogger in Birkenhead.

A 17-year-old male from Prenton appeared at Merseyside Youth Remand Court yesterday Tuesday 24 December.

He pleaded guilty and will next appear on Tuesday 4 February. He has been conditionally bailed with strict conditions including an electronic tag and curfew.

The charge followed a report that a woman was sexually assaulted while out jogging in Oxton on Sunday 22 December.
