Road closed after suspected WWII bomb taken into police station

Road closures are in place after a person went into Wallasey Station with a suspected WWII bomb.

It happened at around 2:40pm today (Monday 12 January) on Manor Road.

The road has been closed as a precaution while the device is examined.

A police spokesperson said:

"At this stage the police station has not been closed and enquiries remain ongoing."
