A man has died following an incident in Islington after he fell from the roof of a building on Low Hill.

The occurrence took place on Friday, 18th September, just after 1pm when a concern for the safety of the man in his 20s was reported.

The man was subsequently taken to hospital, where he sadly passed away on Saturday, 19th September.

Police officers are providing support to the man's family.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

However, because police were present at the scene shortly before the man sustained his injuries, a mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as part of routine procedure.
