He has also been banned from contacting the victim for 10 years
A man has been jailed for two years and three months after hacking a Wirral woman’s social media accounts and blackmailing her.
Bosun Osagie, 25, of Hartslock Drive in Bexley, London, was sentenced on Monday 12th October 2026 after pleading guilty to computer hacking and blackmail at an earlier hearing.
A 10-year restraining order was also imposed, banning him from contacting the victim.
Merseyside Police received a report in February 2023 that the woman’s Snapchat and X, formerly Twitter, accounts had been hacked.
Police said her images were being used to create fake accounts and were being sold online.
The woman was subsequently blackmailed, according to the force.
Osagie was arrested and charged following police enquiries.
